Australian Tourist Stream

This visa helps you to visit Australia for the purpose of Tourism, Business or Visiting Family or Friends. You can study or train for up to 3 months in total on this visa. But if your main reason for traveling to Australia is studying, a student visa might be more appropriate.

Stay: might be 3, 6 or 12 months depending from case to case.

Eligibility: You must intend to stay in Australia to visit only, have enough money to sustain your stay and not intend to work in Australia.

Sponsored Family Stream

This visa stream lets people who are sponsored, usually by a family member, come to Australia to visit their family members, be here as a tourist for a cruise or for any purpose except business or medical treatment. You can study or train for up to 3 months in total on this visa. But if your main reason for traveling to Australia is studying, a student visa might be more appropriate.

Stay: up to 12 months
Eligibility: You must have a sponsor and intend to visit Australia as a visitor only.

Business Visitor Stream

This visa stream lets you visit Australia for business reasons, like:

• you can make general business meetings and employment inquiries,
• negotiate contracts,
• conduct activities as part of an official government visit and
• take part in conferences or trade fairs. But you can’t be paid by the organizers to take part.

Stay: up to 3 months Eligibility: You must be a genuine visitor traveling to Australia for business visitor activities and be outside Australia when you apply and when the embassy makes a decision on your application.

Student Visa (Subclass 500)

• Valid Passport
• Completed Form 157 A
• Completed Form 956A
• Letter of Offer / Provisional Acceptance (Original and Copy) issued by the Australian Educational Institution for a full-time course. The institution should be registered with CRICOS to offer courses to an overseas student.
• Educational Testimonials (Mark Sheets and Certificates). All copies should be Notary Attested.
• IELTS/TOEFL/PTE scorecard
• Resume & detailed statement of purpose
• Work Experience Documents (If any)
• Evidence of Payment (COE) of First-Semester Tuition Fees and Overseas Student Health Insurance Cover (OSHC)
• Referral Letter (HAP ID)
• A Letter from the Sponsor. Affidavit of Support (original and notary attested copies on stamp paper) which should include:
  • The sponsors’ relationship with you
  • Income Tax Return (of last three years)
  • Details of the sponsors’ other dependents
  • Personal bank statement of the sponsor
  • Any other documents about the financial standing
• Evidence of your / your parent's financial support (even where another sponsor is supporting the application)

Apply for Australia Transit Visa

Transit Visa (Subclass 771)

is for people who want to:

• Enter in Australia and do not stop for more than 72 hours before leaving the air or sea.
• Enter Australia in order to join the crew of a non-military ship as a Maritime Crew Visa (Subclass 988)holder.

A Transit visa is required when:

• you fly out on the same aircraft and from the same airport at which you arrived
• you stay in the transit lounge and do not leave the airport.

The Transit visa allows entry into Australia with a maximum stay of 72 hours and is free of an application charge. However, a Transit visa should not be used as a ‘three-day visitor visa.’

Part of the criteria which must be satisfied for the grant of a Transit visa include that the applicant establishes that their principal purpose in entering Australia is to pass through Australia in transit to another country and that the applicant intends to remain in Australia no longer than 72 hours. These criteria can not be satisfied if the applicant intends to stay in Australia for travel or tourism purposes, or intends to travel to a third country.
